TITLE: Enterprise Risk Management: The Key to Cybersecurity Strategy

SYNOPSIS: The dominant approaches to addressing cyber threats, cyber defense, cyber risk mitigation, and remediation are primarily tactical. Most approaches rely upon technology and forget about the value of people and effective processes. Security leadership needs an injection of strategic thinking. The key is understanding how cybersecurity fits within the broader context of enterprise risk management (ERM). This understanding will help leaders respond to modern cyber challenges by developing strategies to address the right problems with their limited resources.
